SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION & ECO-FRIENDLY INNOVATION
When he discovered how polluted the ocean was at a young age, artist, environmentalist, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, Jaden Smith found interest in conservation and environmentalism. His latest projects consist of creating products that are as sustainable as possible, from the materials that he uses to the manufacturing. Smith’s style is mostly secondhand items because he believes it’s one of the only ways to be sustainable in the industry. While he purchases clothing that already exists, he is eliminating the production process and not creating new waste.
He will be partnering with Grailed to sell some of his wardrobe pieces which will drop on February 24. Grailed 100’s project will raise awareness of secondhand shopping and the importance of sustainability in fashion. His wardrobe collection will consist of some of his favorite pieces in his closet and items he created himself.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.” - Genesis 1:1-5
